Oniri Islands is a cooperative adventure game for two players. Players take on the roles of two children stranded on a mysterious island, working together to find their shadows using magical animal masks. Mina and Tim, the story’s heroes, are two connected figurines used to play on the tablet. Move them on the screen to explore the fantastical world of Oniri Islands.

Self-publishing
From 1st idea to crowdfunding campaign
Oniri Islands is the first self-published game by our studio, and it was around this project that we founded Tourmaline Studio. The research and production of this game were made possible thanks to the involvement of a team of 13 people. Throughout the development, we created several prototypes, which we showcased at international gaming events such as Gamescom (DE), GDC (US), Game Connection (US, FR), Ludicious (CH), Essen (DE), Paris est Ludique (FR), and the Cannes International Games Festival (FR). These encounters allowed us to introduce Oniri to many people while winning several awards.
Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, we were able to produce the connected toys required for the project. A successful bet: Oniri Islands was released in 2018!
